Generations is an In-patient program in which emotional/psychological needs
are addressed for our aged population. Therapy and treatment plans are
developed for patients on an individual basis. These plans may include
Group, Individual and Family Therapy. We also incorporate Physical, Occupational
and Speech Therapy if needed so that the entire person and functional
needs are considered. Generations patients have the opportunity to have
continued care counseling and post psychiatric care after discharge from
their hospitalization. Our Generations staff includes Mental Health Therapists,
a Case Manager, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified
Nursing Assistants and a Certified Activity Professional. All of our staff
monitor the patients and interact with them to develop their abilities
and social interaction that will help lead them back to a healthier, more
fulfilling life. The unit Program Director is Ginger Stewart, CADDCT,
CDP, and our Nurse Manager is Sandra D. Dorman, RN, CDP.
Aging can present many challenges and changes in our lives. Mental difficulties
and challenges can come with aging, but there is help. Mental illness
is nothing to be ashamed of, people fight this battle daily. We have qualified
staff to answer any questions you or your family members may have.
The Generations unit is under the direct supervision of Medical Director,
Althea Conley, M.D., PhD, Diplomat, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
in Child/Adolescent/Adult Psychiatry.
