Generations is an inpatient program designed to meet the emotional and medical Health care needs of those who qualify for these services.
Medicare & most private commercial insurances cover this service.

The General Admissions criteria are:

Persons who will benefit from short-term patient mental health care.
Severe depression
Acute onset of hallucinations, delusions or paranoia.
Noncompliance with prescribed mental health regimen.
Potential hazard to the person’s health or life.
Acute onset of inability to cope with stressful situations or inability to attend to activities of daily living.
Needs modification of psychotropic drugs after failure of outpatient treatment.
The Generations Unit is an 8 bed private unit with security doors. This ensures that patients may wander in the safety of the unit and allows them to be active and independent. This also ensures patient confidentiality.
The experienced and caring staff tends to the many needs of the generations patient. This quality of care combined with the expert Psychiatric management by Dr. Shah, Medical Director, the Generations experience will help older adults keep as active as they can be and lead healthier more fulfilled lives!

Admissions to the Generations Unit are confidential!
A confidential consultation is available at no charge and may be provided in the person’s home, Hospital or at a Nursing Home.
Physicians, Health Care Professionals, Nursing Care Centers, family members or Ministers may make a referral to the program.
