Call 800-213-6415 with any questions or concerns

A former employee of Ashley County Medical Center inappropriately accessed and viewed the medical records of patients for purposes unrelated to care, treatment, and/or healthcare operations of the hospital. Based on investigations conducted by the hospital, it appears the information was only accessed and viewed out of curiosity and not distributed or shared with anyone outside of Ashley County Medical Center.

Former patients concerned that their personal information may have been compromised can consult the information on identity theft published on the website of the Arkansas Attorney General (https://arkansasag.gov/consumer-protection/identity). If you do not have computer access and would like for Ashley County Medical Center to provide you with a hard copy of the information from the Attorney General’s Office, please contact us at one of the phone numbers listed below.

We are conducting a thorough audit of the records that were viewed by the former employee. The individual who inappropriately accessed the records was terminated from our employment as a result.

Ashley County Medical Center is performing quarterly audits to ensure there are no further breaches. Ashley County Medical Center has also conducted additional education with employees to reinforce that viewing of any patient’s information for purposes outside those necessary for treatment, payment, and healthcare operations is strictly forbidden.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and will be diligently working to ensure this type of breach does not occur in the future.

If you have any further concerns or questions, please contact either Kayla Hill at 870-364-1242 or Tiffany Holland at 870-364-1232.
