Located at Ashley County Medical Center

At Ashley County Medical Center, our team of experienced, caring professionals are proud to be able to provide a wide variety of behavioral services to older adults (Individual consideration may be given to those under 65 years of age) throughout Crossett and the surrounding areas. One way we do this is by providing programs such as the daily Ashley Intensive Outpatient Program. These are services that may help patients who may be struggling through a difficult time. The Generations Inpatient Program is closely monitored by the highly skilled multidisciplinary staff and Medical Director and psychiatrist, Althea T. Conley, M.D.; PhD. Generations is located on the first floor and is a locked unit for our patient’s safety. Our preferred staffs are trained as Certified Dementia Practitioners. We are dedicated to providing a high level of care to our community.

Patients who may need psychiatry services often exhibit these symptoms:

  • Anxiety
  • Lack of personal hygiene / care
  • Changes in sleep patterns or appetite
  • Lifestyle changes
  • Confusion
  • Mood swings
  • Constant fatigue
  • Paranoia
  • Depression

  • Feelings of despair
  • Withdrawal from social activities
  • Hallucinations
  • Delusional thoughts
  • Inability to live alone

Our programs encourage the implementation of healthy patterns into our patients’ daily lives. An experienced licensed therapist and behavioral health case managers work with our patients to provide them with individualized services to help them succeed. Benefits of our Psychiatry Services Program

One of the many benefits to our program is the fact that we are local. In fact, many of our physicians and medical staff were born and raised in the area, and are thoroughly familiar with the community. As a whole, this enables us to provide better care to our patients. Although we are a local hospital, we offer a wide variety of services, meaning that our patients don’t have to travel to get the help they need. They benefit from less travel time and more time at home and with loved ones.

Contact Ashley County Medical Center to learn more about how our psychiatry services can benefit you or a loved one. We are backed by years of experience! For more information call Ashley IOP (870) 364-1467 for our daily program and Generations (870)364-1277) 24/7 for all inpatient inquiries.
