Visitor Restriction In Place

Ashley County Medical Center is taking every precaution that we can to help keep our employees, patients, and visitors safe. Please see the below information:

ACMC does have visitor restrictions in place for the entire hospital.

A visitor must not have cold or flu-like symptoms, known COVID, or COVID exposure to be allowed entrance into any ACMC facility.

ACMC values the relationship between the patient and those who care for them. Please be advised of our current visitation policy.

In accordance with ACT 311, visitors are allowed at ACMC. All visitors must be screened prior to admittance into the facility. Under ACT 311, visitation may be restricted based on the patient's medical status at the nursing staffs' discretion.

ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE FACILITY MUST BE ASKED SCREENING QUESTIONS AND SCANNED INTO THE KIOSK SYSTEM. ALL PERSONS ENTERING THE FACILITY MUST HAVE A MASK ON! YOU HAVE TO WEAR YOUR MASK AT ALL TIMES!

M-F 0800-1700 any person entering the facility for any reason, other than checking into the ER, must enter the facility through the front lobby.

If the visitor has children with them, restrict access to everyone, until someone can care for the children unless the child is the patient.

Visitation Guidelines:

  • Each patient is allowed one visitor for their entire admission. This person cannot change out with another person.
  • There may be considerations for more visitors depending on patient status. Please check with nursing staff for determination.
  • Up to four (4) visitors may be allowed at a time during non-COVID end-of-life situations.
  • COVID-positive patients may have one visitor during end-of-life situations. This person cannot change.
  • Clergy and lay persons offering religious or spiritual support are allowed to visit in addition to the number of visitors allowed above.

Labor and Delivery Visitation Guidelines:

  • Each non-COVID adult patient may have one (1) person to visit during the patient’s stay.
  • These persons(s) cannot change to another person during the patient’s stay.
  • This visitor may not leave the facility and re-enter.

Clinics:

  • Allowed to have one visitor with the patient.
  • Waiting rooms are closed.

Ancillary Areas (Radiology, Physical Therapy, Lab, Respiratory):

  • Allowed to have one visitor with the patient.

Dietary:

  • Remains closed to all person(s) that are not employees of ACMC.
