Visitor Restriction In Place

Ashley County Medical Center is taking every precaution that we can to help keep our employees, patients, and visitors safe. Please see the below information:

REVISED: 3/20/2020

ACMC does have visitor restriction in place for the entire hospital.

  • THERE WILL BE NO VISITORS-unless the patient requires a caregiver or the patient is a minor. Those patients will be allowed 1 visitor that must stay the entire time with the patient. We will provide a tray, no outside food allowed.
  • OB WILL BE LIMITED TO 1 VISITOR PER PATIENT- during the patient’s entire stay. This visitor must have no cold or flu like symptoms or fever. Visitor will not leave. We will provide a tray.
  • COVER YOUR COUGH- for your protection as well as others. You will likely be asked to wear a mask. When you sneeze or cough, please do so into your elbow/sleeve.
  • WASH YOUR HANDS FREQUENTLY- hand washing facilities are located throughout the hospital for your conveniences. Scrub your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-base hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol to kill germs.
  • IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN BEFORE YOU COME TO THE EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT. THEY HAVE A 24/7 CALL LINE.

ACMC thanks you for your understanding and cooperation. We are all committed to your health.
