Visitor Restriction In Place

Ashley County Medical Center is taking every precaution that we can to help keep our employees, patients, and visitors safe. Please see the below information:

REVISED: 6/18/2021

ACMC does have visitor restriction in place for the entire hospital.

ACMC values the relationship between the patient and those who care for them. Please be advised of our current visitation policy.

In accordance with ACT 311, visitors are allowed at ACMC. All visitors must be screened prior to admittance into the facility. Under ACT 311, visitation may be restricted based on the patient's medical status at the nursing staffs' discretion.

All visitors will go to the front lobby M-F 0800-1700 to be screened. After hours and on weekends, screening will be done in the ER entrance. Masks must be worn at all times.

If the patient is located in:

MedSurg, CCU, or ER: There will only be one visitor allowed in a patient's room at a time. All other visitors will have to wait in their vehicles or come back at another time to visit.

Labor and Delivery: Patients are allowed to pick up to two persons to be with them for their admission. These persons(s) cannot change during the stay and are not allowed to leave and then return to the room. Infant sibling visitation is allowed during designated times 1:00-5:00 pm. Contact the L&D department to facilitate infant sibling visitation if needed.

Generations: No Change

ACMC Clinics: The Clinics will allow up to two visitors per patient at providers’ discretion. All patients and visitors will be screened at clinic entrance. The visitor must no cold or flu-like symptoms in order to enter the clinic.

ACMC thanks you for your understanding and cooperation. We are all committed to your health.
