Critical Care

Critical Care Services provide specialized care of patients whose conditions are life-threatening and who require comprehensive care and constant monitoring in a specialized unit. These units are known as intensive care units or critical care units.

At Ashley County Medical Center, our primary goal in our 6-bed Critical Care Unit is to provide excellent care to you or your loved one. Using advanced patient monitoring technology and sophisticated medical equipment, our multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other support personnel has been specially trained/certified and are skilled in providing continuous, comprehensive care to those in the unit. Rest assured that those providing patient care are working to help your loved one in their treatment or recovery process.

The nurses in ICU/CCU care not only for the patient but for their families as well. We do treat you like family. Our nurses help patients heal physically and emotionally. Critical care nurses often say they “love” what they do.
