Assistance for Patients at our Crossett Hospital

Ashley County Medical Center’s Social Services Team is here to assist patients and their families with a variety of needs. The social workers complement ACMC’s staff of professional doctors and nurses to take excellent care of all patients and their families

Social Services staff are available Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm and as needed.

Meet the Team

Barron Brown, LMSW

Barron earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in August 2018. She received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Louisiana State University May 2020. She completed her social work internship at Cypress Grove Behavioral Health. She has been a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) since September 2020. Barron is currently serving as the Director of Social Services. She provides services for the social services department where she assists with case management and the Swingbed program. Prior to joining ACMC, she was an intake/UR coordinator and a mental health therapist at Cypress Grove Behavioral Health in Bastrop, LA. Her experience in the social services field include the Arkansas Department of Children and Family Services, outpatient counseling, and inpatient psychiatry.
