Proud member of the Arkansas Children’s Nursery Alliance

Ashley County Medical Center is a proud partner of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) Nursery Alliance. Because Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) has the only Arkansas Department of Health-designated Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the state, ACH created the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Nursery Alliance to support newborn nurseries around the state so that more babies can receive expert specialty care close to home in the hospitals where they are born.

As a part of the Nursery Alliance, our Nursery Staff and our two Board-Certified Pediatrician’s coordinates care between neonatologists, nursing, and other clinical staff at ACH’s NICU to help further improve the quality of newborn care.

The Nursery Alliance also provides formal networking and learning opportunities for members in order to improve the health and well-being of babies and their families all over the state. ACMC joined the partnership in June of 2018.

Benefits of membership in the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Nursery Alliance:

  • Coordination of care
  • Shared best practices and protocols
  • Networking
  • Comparative data for benchmarking
  • Improving the health of neonates in local newborn nurseries and communities across the state
